The purpose of this programme is to train learners to manage, process, and analyse data effectively. Learners will be able to collect, transform, and analyse large datasets, applying data analysis techniques to solve business problems, and communicate their findings through reports and data visualisations. This qualification prepares individuals for roles such as Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Database Engineer, Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists, addressing the growing demand for skilled data professionals in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
After completion of the Data Science Learnership (NQF Level 5), the learner will be able to collect large amounts of structured and unstructured data from primary and secondary sources and extract and transform them into a usable format.Furthermore, the learner will be able to apply data analysis techniques to uncover patterns and trends in datasets (resultant sets of data that can be viewed as tables or as a “spreadsheet ofdata”) to solve business-related problems. Finally the learner will be able to prepare and present descriptive analytics reports on patterns and trends using computer programming languages and explain those patterns and trends through e.g., visualisation and storytelling etc., using data visualisation tools.
We anticipate the application form will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. You will need to create a new account to get started.
As soon as you submit your application, you will receive a receipt email.
You will receive a follow up email within two days of your application.
